First day of school 2011!!

Hooray for school! I get to send two kids this year and I am thrilled! (Breckan and Zack are pretty excited, too) (: Breckan is now in first grade and Zack is in kindergarten. The first day dawned bright and early at 6:30 am (ok, maybe not that early for some of you people out there, but early for me) Breckan woke me up and asked if I would please come pour the milk on her cereal because she couldn't do it and she had already gotten dressed and done her jobs and can you please get up so I can go to first grade?? LOL, it was cute! But, also disappointing when I told her she still had 2 hours before school started! Needless to say we were all ready to go at about 7:30 that morning... Plenty of time for pictures, I guess!
Breckan, so excited to go!

Zack, ready for the day, even though he only got to go to school for an hour- with Mom and Dad.

Kira had to get in on the action. She has been so disappointed every day when I tell her that you have to be 5 to go to school. She is really bummed about staying home with me. ):

All three kids...

The two school kids...

Anyway, Farmington Elementary does a back to school morning where the parents come with the kids for about an hour and meet the teacher, go over disclosures, sign up for volenteer work, and see the classroom. It was really, really great. Such a good idea. I loved seeing all that was going to be going on during the year and getting all signed up for fun stuff like field trips and "fairy tale Fridays." Breckan has a great teacher. Here is a picture of Breckan and Mrs. Landon.

and lastly, Zack in front of the super cute bullitin board outside his classroom. Zack has Mrs. Huckins, the same teacher as Breckan had last year, which is awesome because we LOVE Mrs. Huckins. He's excited to have the same teacher, especially since he's seen her and the classroom a couple times.

Hope everyone had as great a first day as we did!!
