Happy Birthday Zack!

I can't believe he is already 3 years old! The day Zack was born was probably one of the best days of my life. He was baby Alexa the whole time I was pregnant. I was so excited for another girl. We even bought matching outfits for her and Breckan. I started to worry when the nurse assisting in the delivery gasped when he came out. I was imagining something seriously wrong. Eleven toes, purple hair...etc. Then she announced, "It's a boy!" I don't think I really heard her. It was all a blur of shock after that. It wasn't until they put him in my arms that I fully realized she was serious, that I really didn't have a little girl. Don't get me wrong...that wasn't why that day was the happiest day of my life. In fact, I was quite disappointed for way too long about it not being a girl. No, the reason it's the happiest day of my life was because I have NEVER before and NEVER since, seen Terry so excited in all my life. Close, but not quite. It just doesn't happen that often that a man gets really excited about something. That's why I will always remember the day Zack was born as a WONDERFUL day. Terry went out of the room to tell his parents and my parents and no one believed him, so the nurse had to hold him up for everyone to see. It was so fun to have a surprise like that. Life doesn't throw you very many good curves like that. I will forever be grateful for my Zacky. He is totally irresistible, we love him so much. Here are some pictures of him growing up. Sorry they are sort of backwards!

How cute, he sure is growing up fast! I'm sure that was a huge shock to find out the "girl" you'd been carrying all along was a boy! But I'm sure it's also a surprise you'd never want changed.
