Ok, it exploded!

So, I went to my doctor's appointment today and she said I was dilated to a three and said, "I don't think you will make it to the 3rd." So, I told her that Terry's parents are here visiting from Utah and they could take the kids in case the baby came early. She then started making a whole bunch of comments on how cool it would be if the baby could come this week, for example, "I'm going to the hospital later today, if you want to join me." I just laughed them off thinking, "There's no way she's going to come before the 3rd, I'm not even worried about it." The next thing I knew she was stripping my membranes and declaring that her birthday is on Thursday and she would be more than happy to share. (Note: Breckan's doctor stripped my membranes a few days before her due date (after I had very nicely asked her to do so) and labor started within 5 hours.) I'm still shocked, I can't believe she did that, I mean, ya, I hadn't technically told her I didn't want the baby to come right now and I wasn't stopping her, but I really didn't think she was actually going to do it. She didn't ask or anything...ahhhhh!!!! So, now I am so extremely stressed out because I'm not ready!!! I've spent the last hour chewing on my poor finger nails and trying to get a bed ready for my mom or Terry's parents or whoever to sleep in and packing bags for the kids in case Terry's parents decide to take them to the hotel with them. I've got to find someone to cover my primary calling and sharing time on Sunday. I wish I could go grocery shopping, but I don't dare leave the house. The car seat cover still needs to be washed...the list goes on! My mind keeps asking what else I need to do!! I should have known this would happen! Ahhhh, the stress. We will keep you updated....

Can't wait to hear more details... all I get from Chris is, "dad told me something happened.." Hmmm.. need more details, but I'll wait, don't worry :)

I am dying laughing over this post! Obviously I am a day later than the post and things have already happened, but I am still laughing. I was the same way when my water broke. I went crazy changing the sheets, cleaning the bathroom, folding laundry, etc., etc. because I knew my mom would be at the house before I came home from the hospital.

Bytheway, what is it with my mom, babies, and Las Vegas? I guess if you want to have your baby early you send here to Las Vegas!!! (I will remember that for next time.)

That's pretty funny about mom and Las Vegas Jess. Thanks for making me laugh and that is definately something to remember.

Some doctors! You'd think they would include you in this kind of decision. I think my doctor may have done that without telling me, too. I hear that it doesn't necessarily start labor, though. Glad that everything seems to have gone alright in spite of it!
